Čop's Birth House
Discover stories from the life of one of the most educated Slovenes in Prešeren's time

- guided tour of the exhibition on the life and work of Matija Čop, the first Slovenian linguist, librarian and one of the greatest European scholars,
- insight into the manuscripts, which represent Čop’s life path and contacts with Prešeren, to whom he was a literary mentor and a great friend.
- guided tour of the Ajdna Museum Room; the archaeological site on Mt. Ajdna is considered to be one of the most mysterious late antique sites in Slovenia,
- broadcasting of the light-hearted documentary film titled ‘There is No Fairer Place’ in which the stories of our cultural heritage come to life,
- one of the attractions along the Žirovnica Path of Cultural Heritage.

Finžgar's Birth House
Explore one of the best examples of vernacular architecture in Gorenjska Region
Museum Contents:
- getting to know the Dolenc homestead with objects from Finžgar’s youth; the house with a hayrack and barn represents the rural architecture and lifestyle of poor farmers from the second half of the 19th century,
- guided tour of the museum house and permanent exhibition with records, stories and photographs on Fran Saleški Finžgar, master of folk writing and author of the first Slovenian historical novel Pod svobodnim soncem (Under the Free Sun),
- discovering the old crafts of weaving and tailoring, which Finžgar’s grandfather and father were engaged in,
- one of the attractions along the Žirovnica Path of Cultural Heritage.

Jalen’s Birth House
A homestead full of good stories shared by Jalen's great-nephew Janez
Museum Contents:
- getting to know the life and work of the writer and playwright Janez Jalen; part of the house has been converted into a private museum, hosted by Jalen’s successor, his great-nephew Janez, who lives on the homestead with his family,
- very authentic and interesting rooms of the museum are the still operational black kitchen and the former bedroom, converted into Jalen’s study,
- getting to know Jalen’s most famous novel Bobri (Beavers), which he set in the prehistoric time on our territory, about 2000 years BC, at the end of the stone and beginning of the copper age. The story is based on archaeological discoveries and describes the life of people and their culture at the time,
- one of the attractions along the Žirovnica Path of Cultural Heritage.

Janša's Apiary
Discover the rich heritage of Slovenian folk art and the legacy of the pioneer of modern beekeeping
Contents:
- exceptional legacy of Anton Janša, the pioneer of modern beekeeping, who became the first teacher of beekeeping in Imperial Vienna,
- well preserved memorial apiary, a reconstruction of the apiary built almost 300 years ago on this site by Anton Janša’s father,
- discovering the unique Slovenian tradition of painting beehive panels, portraying religious motifs, historical scenes and stories of rural everyday life,
- Anton Janša’s birthday, May 20, was declared World Bee Day in 2018 by the United Nations,
- one of the attractions along the Žirovnica Path of Cultural Heritage.
