Picnic Areas in Završnica

 

Welcome to Završnica, where three picnic areas are available to hire, ideal for various occasions and groups. Each picnic area is equipped with a barbecue, fridge, running water and an electrical supply, which enables the preparation of food and drink in the embrace of nature. Each picnic area has a capacity for up to 20 people, making them the ideal choice for family get-togethers, picnics with friends, teambuilding or school trips.

Završnica is located in a picturesque valley, surrounded by lush forests and clean air, which beckon for exploring and relaxing. In addition to picnic areas, visitors can enjoy the playground or football field, which are freely accessible.

Booking picnic areas

Price

The price of the picnic area varies according to whether it is a weekday (Monday to Thursday) or weekend (Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays):

  • From Mondays to Thursdays: 50 EUR.
  • Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 100 EUR.

Timetable

Picnic areas are available 7 days a week from May to October from 10 am to 9.30 pm. Picnic areas must be vacated by 10 pm, after which the electricity supply is automatically cut off.

Picnic area equipment

Each picnic area includes a 20m2 log cabin, two wooden tables and benches, running water, electricity, fridge and a charcoal barbecue. The tap water is potable. Users of the picnic areas are responsible for bringing any other equipment required (e.g. charcoal, lighter, etc.). Toilet facilities are located next to the log cabin beside the road.

Parking

Up to five parking spaces on the meadow beside the log cabins area are available for those hiring a picnic area. Other vehicles must park by the reservoir, where parking fees must be paid. More about parking in Završnica can be found here:

Other information and conditions of use of the picnic areas in Završnica:

  • The picnic areas in the Završnica Valley are managed by the Žirovnica Institute for Tourism and Culture.
  • Each picnic area has a capacity for a maximum of 20 people.
  • Picnic areas are booked via the website and users must agree with the rules of use of the picnic area. The keys to the event area are accessible via a code, which is sent to the hirer after a booking is made. The hirer is responsible for payment of the picnic area and any possible additional costs.
  • The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the picnic area. In the event of damage, the management will write a report and send an invoice to the hirer.
  • The hirer is responsible for fire safety in the picnic area and must acquaint themselves with the relevant fire safety rules, which are placed in the picnic area. The lighting of fires is only permitted for the barbecue. During times of a declared increased risk of fire in the natural environment, the use of any kind of open fire in the event area is prohibited.
  • Carrying out activities that cause excess noise in the natural environment (shouting, music) is not permitted.
  • After use, the hirer is responsible for cleaning the picnic area, putting rubbish in the appropriate container for separating waste, locking the log cabin and returning the key to the place where it was collected.
  • The hirer is responsible for the safe use of the electricity cabinet, the entire picnic area and for general order and safety during the time of hire.
